BEEF HOOF & HOOK COMPETITION

Competition will be held at Swan Hill Abattoirs on Sunday, 12th October, 2025

Entry Fee: $27.50 per head of cattle (incl. entry in both Hoof & Hook classes). 

Classes: Determined after weighing on Sunday. Cattle are classed according to their live weight categories. Fat measurements are taken at P8 (rump) & rib sites (Rib fat taken between the 10^th & 11^th rib on the carcass). Points are gained or lost if they do not fall into the following recommendations within their live weight classes.

HOOF CLASSES

·     Class 2500 Hoof Class Light 300-399kg

·     Class 2501 Hoof Class Medium, 400-499kg

·     Class 2502 Hoof Class Heavy, 500-600k
